Winter Camp at Gamehaven Scout Camp!
Young or old, new to Scouting or a long-time veteran, you’ll find a program for you at our Gamehaven Winter Camps this year! We offer many amazing programs for youth and families of all ages and experience – from our Polar Cubs programs to the new intense Operation Icicle programs.
Cub Scouts (Polar Cubs)
There’s no better time to ESCAPE THE INDOORS than during the winter! Your family can come enjoy a day of fun winter activiteis at Gamehaven Scout Camp. come for the hot chocolate, and stay for the slidding, snow forts, games, activities, and a hot lunch!
Day attendance is FREE for all Gamehaven Cub Scouts!

Cub Scouts (Operation Icicle)
Operation Icicle Cubs is the best way to experience a weekend of intense winter camping, epic adventure, and crazy adventure this winter! You and your family will sleep in one of the heated Gamehaven Scout Camp lodges both nights, and participate in the Operation Icicle challenges over the day on Saturday and Sunday morning. Adventures change every year, but in the past have included camp-wide scavenger hunts, themed meals, dance parties, laser sledding, and so much more. This is an action-packed weekend, and it’s specifically designed for our Cub Scout members to enjoy.

- January 17-19, with a Wizarding World theme! Join Gary Pot-tear as you cast spells and journey into forbidden corridors.
- February 7-9, with a “Scout Wars” theme! Join the Rogue Squadron as you defeat the evil empire with your X-Wings

THIS YEAR’S THEMES:
January: Gary Pot Tear the cousin of a famous wizard sets out on a magical adventure, join us at Gamehaven Scout Camp where magic, creatures, and a spelltastic adventure awaits you for a three-day trip through Hoghaven. During your trip you will quest for your wizard’s wand, be sorted into a Hoghaven House, and compete for glory in the Ditchwitch Game.
February: Join us in the land of Scout Wars, where the surviving pilots have to rebuild their squadron, after the defeat at Gavin by the Empire. Scouts will journey to Antilles to start their squadron training, build their own X-Wing, and defeat The Empire . Weekend participants receive a sweatshirt, all participants receive a patch.
Scouts BSA (Operation Icicle)
What is Operation Icicle? It is the greatest, most challenging, and fun weekend of winter Scouting that you will ever have! The weekend is an opportunity for Scouts BSA to develop leadership, communication, teamwork, advancement, and other skills – plus to have a lot of fun! The program is limited to a small number of Scouts, to ensure that the groups get ample learning opportunities. Scouts can also choose to work on one of a number of merit badges. MERIT BADGES MAY NOT BE COMPLETED AT CAMP – some have prerequisites or additional work needed.
- Regular Pricing = $125/Scout
- Late Pricing = $150/Scout after January 1,2024
All registrations include a commemorative patch and other take-homes, food, and indoor housing. Optional sweatshirts may be purchased during registration for $25/piece. All registrations made on or before January 1st will receive their sweatshirts upon arrival at camp. All registrations after January 1st will receive their sweatshirt later in the year.
This year’s theme is “Scoutbusters”
There is something strange in the neighborhood! Welcome to Gamehaven Scout Camp, the center of all paranormal activity in the state of Minnesota, as a guest you will dine well, meet new friends, and become part of an elite ghost busting squad! Daily activities will include: Ghost 101, Proton Pack Engineering, Echo 101 Repair Shop, and How to Roast a Marshmallow Class. Attendees receive a Operation Icicle Sweatshirt, patch, and a chance to complete a merit badge during the event!

Scouts BSA (Winter Camporee)
Winter Camporee is our annual klondike/winter camping event for Scouts BSA members. We’ll be holding the camporee at Philippo Scout Camp this year, so join us for lots of fun and activities.
The theme this year is “Emergency Response” – several EMS and firefighting teams are attending to teach Scouts all about what they do.
